The 2021 Salzburg Festival will take place, from 17 July to 31 August 2021. There will be 2 Mozart staging productions : a revival of last year Cosi fan tutte and a new production of Don Giovanni (which was planned for 2020).

Don Giovanni, which will be held at the Grosses Festspielhaus (2,300 seats), will be conducted by Teodor Currentzis and directed by Romeo Castellucci. The cast includes Davide Luciano in the title role, the wonderful Nadezhda Pavlova as Donna Anna, Federica Lombardi as Donna Elvira, Anna Lucia Richter as Zerlina, Vito Priante as Leporello and Michael Spyres as Don Ottavio. The fantastic ensemble musicAeterna will be in the pit, and will present a concert with Mozart’s Symphonies 40 & 41.
